Water Thrills Await! Where To Go In Cyprus

When summer hits Cyprus, the island doesn’t just offer golden beaches and ancient ruins — it delivers a serious dose of splash-filled adventure. Waterparks here aren’t your basic slide-and-pool deals. They’ve got character, heart, and enough variety to keep every kind of traveler — from chill loungers to wild sliders — fully entertained. Here are the top three, each with its own vibe and standout attractions that make them the best in the country.

Fasouri Watermania, Limassol

Tucked into the citrus groves just outside Limassol, Fasouri Watermania is Cyprus’s largest waterpark and a real crowd-pleaser. With more than 30 rides and attractions, it’s built to handle big groups without ever feeling overwhelming. The atmosphere leans tropical, with palm trees, wooden bridges, and an overall relaxed setting that’s perfect for families or anyone looking to mix thrill with a laid-back day.

Slide-wise, the Kamikaze and Black Hole bring the speed and suspense, while the 6-lane Mat Racer Slide lets you challenge your friends head-to-head. There’s also a giant lazy river for a float break, a wave pool for all ages, and a dedicated splash zone for younger kids. What visitors really love, aside from the cleanliness and space, is that the park tends to be less crowded than others in Cyprus — especially during weekdays. With consistent ratings above 4.5 stars, Fasouri is a solid pick for a full day of waterpark fun without the stress.

Best place for children. We are going here always, when we are in cyprus.

Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark, Paphos

Just a short ride from the city center and right near the beach, Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark has a charm of its own. It’s not the biggest park, but it makes up for that with smart design, smooth ride operation, and a relaxed family-friendly feel. One of its main highlights is the family rafting ride — a large, shared float that takes you through twists, turns, and drops while keeping everyone laughing the whole way down.

There’s a super long lazy river, speed slides like the Free Fall for daredevils, and a colorful volcano-themed water playground that keeps little kids entertained for hours. The facilities are praised for being well-kept, and the staff is often mentioned in reviews for being both friendly and attentive. Scoring around 4.4 stars across major travel platforms, this park hits a sweet spot for families looking for variety without chaos.

Excellent park has plenty to see and do fun for all ages. Wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Loungers improving along with food and drink selection.

WaterWorld Themed Waterpark, Ayia Napa

If you want big, bold, and unforgettable, WaterWorld in Ayia Napa delivers on all fronts. It’s not just a waterpark — it’s a full-blown Greek mythology experience. As Europe’s largest themed waterpark, it immerses you in a fantasy world where every ride has a story. Slides like Drop to Atlantis, Fall of Icarus, and Zeus Kamikaze aren’t just thrilling — they’re part of a well-designed theme that runs through the entire park.

There are over 25 attractions, from high-adrenaline rides to calmer features like the Lazy River of Troy and bubble-filled whirlpools. What stands out here is the detail — even the food courts and rest areas follow the ancient Greek concept, creating a really immersive day out. With high ratings (4.5 stars and up), WaterWorld is often ranked among the top waterparks in Europe, not just Cyprus. It can get busy, especially in peak season, but if you’re looking for a destination-style waterpark that goes all-in on entertainment, this is the one.

What an incredible day at the water park in Ayia Napa! I went with a group of German Erasmus students, and it honestly couldn’t have been better. The park has a great mix of wild, adrenaline-filled slides and more relaxing spots like the lazy river and the wave pool — perfect for a full day of fun.
